What you can do on Colorfulia

Colorfulia is an SNS where users connect with each other and share everyday life. This page gives a broad overview of the main things you can do on the service.

On Colorfulia, connections between users are called friends. You send a friend request to someone you want to connect with, and you become friends when they accept. Friendship requires mutual approval—it does not exist on one side only.

Friends can view and post to each other’s notes on their spaces (personal pages).

A story is a post that shares everyday moments or thoughts. You can write longer text and attach images or video. A note is what we call the newest-first list of stories within a space. Stories work well for diary- or blog-style writing when you want to take your time.

Stories you post to a friend’s note also appear on your home news feed.

Chat lets friends exchange private messages in real time. Unlike stories that remain on a timeline, chat is a separate place for short exchanges and conversations in the moment.

Beyond friends, communities are places to connect with people who share similar interests. After a join request is sent and accepted, you become a member and can post to and view that community’s notes. Your home news feed shows posts from friends as well as from communities you have joined.

Once you have completed registration and signed in, you can start connecting on Colorfulia from the screens below.

Home (/home) is the main screen you open first after signing in. Posts from friends and from members of communities you have joined appear in your news feed, newest first.

Each user and community space has a note where you can post and read stories. Start by checking friends’ posts on Home, then try posting your first story to your own note.

On Story (/story), you can browse posts across Colorfulia and discover new users. Open All users (/story/users) to browse the user list, visit profiles, and send friend requests.

You can also search for users, communities, and stories by keyword in the search bar at the top of the screen.

If you registered through an invitation, you are already friends with your inviter. When you want to connect with more people, start here.

On Communities (/communities), you can find and join spaces where people with similar interests gather. Open All communities to browse the list and send join requests to communities that interest you.

Once you become a member, you can post to and view that community’s notes, and its posts will also appear on your home news feed.
