Examples of sensitive and prohibited content
This page shows concrete examples to help you decide whether a post is allowed and whether a sensitive setting is required.
Key points first
Section titled “Key points first”- These categories apply regardless of format—photos, illustrations, CG, AI-generated images, and whether the subject is real or fictional.
- Sensitive features do not lift prohibitions. They make content that needs care less likely to reach people who do not want to see it.
- Operator proactive review is more common when visibility is wider; limited visibility and chat are primarily report-driven. In any case, prohibited content must not be posted regardless of sensitive settings or visibility.

Three categories
Section titled “Three categories”Colorfulia uses three categories to decide whether content may be published: general / sensitive / prohibited.
- General: Content you may post without a sensitive setting.
- Sensitive: Not prohibited, but needs care. Treat the post or space as sensitive.
- Prohibited: Must not be published, regardless of sensitive settings, space designation, or visibility.
Even with the same theme, the category can change depending on how it is depicted. Below are theme examples for each category and boundary examples that show where sensitive and prohibited begin for a given theme.
Category: general (examples you can post without sensitive)
Section titled “Category: general (examples you can post without sensitive)”Content like the following can usually be posted without a sensitive setting.
- Everyday snapshots; travel, food, or event photos
- Cross-dressing (for example, a man in women’s clothing)
- Fashion or cosplay with clothing
- Ordinary swimwear or underwear with standard skin exposure (fabric area is not extremely small)
- Mild physical affection such as a light kiss or hug

Category: sensitive (examples that require a sensitive setting)
Section titled “Category: sensitive (examples that require a sensitive setting)”Content that is not prohibited but may unexpectedly cause discomfort or psychological burden for some viewers. When it appears on public surfaces, treat it as sensitive.
- Excessive skin exposure (swimwear or underwear with fabric area that is too small; sheerness), near-nude clothing, emphasis on wedgies, and similar
- Close-ups of sexual body areas while clothed (expressions where genital area, buttocks, nipples, and similar dominate the frame)
- Full nude including artistic nudes (genitals not shown)
- Strongly sexual poses or framing
- Sexual or fetish acts and expressions that stop short of depicting sexual intercourse (for example SM bondage, restraint, use of tools, strong sexual roleplay, situations leading up to an act)
- Depictions where blood, injury, or pain is clear, and medical, accident, or horror expressions that do not rise to prohibited content

Category: prohibited (content you must not post)
Section titled “Category: prohibited (content you must not post)”The following must not be published even if you mark a post or space as sensitive or narrow visibility. The same applies if you mosaic, blur, black out, or similarly process the image.
- Exposure of genitals or equivalent areas
- Markedly sexual expressions such as sexual acts including masturbation, or depictions immediately after sexual acts
- Expressions where it is reasonable to conclude that primary subjects did not consent to being photographed or published (so-called voyeurism or peeping)
- Sale or solicitation of adult content, or directing people to paid adult services
- Markedly graphic violence or injury; sensational or grotesque depictions of corpses; visual expressions that depict suicide or self-harm in a concrete and sensational way
- Sexual expressions involving children
- Other acts, expressions, or depictions prohibited by law

Profile images and cover images
Section titled “Profile images and cover images”In places where sensitive labeling does not apply—such as profile images and cover images—visual content that falls under “examples that require a sensitive setting” must not be posted. Marking the space as sensitive does not create an exception.
